Ellis enjoying early test
Ellis Harrison has described the budding relationship he has with Paul Hurst and the other members of Town’s coaching staff.
The 24-year-old netted his first Blues goal in the pre-season friendly against West Ham last weekend, and said he is already seeing the benefits of being pushed out on the practice pitch.
“I didn’t know Paul, Chris (Doig), and the others too well before coming here but things have started really well,” the striker, who joined for an undisclosed fee from Bristol Rovers last month, said.
“They’re pushing me, and that’s what I need. The last thing I want is to be sat in a comfort zone - management and coaching staff don’t let that happen here.
“I need that sort of thing to reach my full potential. I don’t think you deserve to achieve anything if you’re not at least working hard.
“We all believe that here and that will push us on as a team. I believe that you’re at your most dangerous when you’re fighting for a common goal.”
