We deserved the point says Paul as Blue Army play their part
Paul Hurst praised the Town fans for getting right behind his team when they needed it most.
Gwion Edwards gave Blues a dream start with a debut goal after five minutes but it needed another debutant, Tayo Edun, to earn a point with a 30 yard strike late on.
“There were a lot of emotions but I thought we deserved the point over the course of the game,” the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.
“There were some good things out there and some not so good but we are a work in progress. It’s going to take time for players to get an understanding as a group, to develop as a group.
“One of the things we are looking at is to keep going from first minute to last and we did that.
“It was a great ball in from Tayo for the goal. He was a long way out but when you put in an in-swinger from there, you want it to go in the far corner and see what happens.
“I was what the fans were like last week and it went up a level today. It’s easy to get behind the team when you’re winning but when things are not going your way, that’s when you really need then and they responded really well.”
