Boss taking strong squad for tough tie
Paul Hurst says he will field a strong team in Town’s Carabao Cup tie away to Exeter City tomorrow night.
Teddy Bishop and Danny Rowe, who returned to action in a friendly against Cambridge United last week, are also expected to travel as they continue their recovery from hamstring and ankle injuries respectively.
“I want to progress and that’s what we’ll be striving for tomorrow night,” Paul told iFollow Ipswich.
“Exeter are a confident side and they’ve started the season very well - I’m expecting a tough game but it’s one that we certainly want to win.
“All I’ll say is that it will be a strong team, and one that I would have no qualms about starting a Championship fixture.
“Danny and Teddy aren’t ready to start a game yet but we might be able to get them involved off the bench depending on how they’re feeling.
“Flynn (Downes) said he is feeling better too so I expect him to be part of the travelling squad.”
