Jonas out for another goal and a derby win for the Blue Army

Jonas Knudsen is hoping to complete a ‘hat-trick’ of goals in derbies and give the Town fans the victory they deserve on Sunday.

The Denmark international scored in both matches against Norwich in the 2016/17 season and rattled the woodwork against the Canaries at Portman Road last term.

“I love playing in these games,” Jonas told the matchday programme in an interview for Sunday’s edition.

“The atmosphere when I walked out for the first derby I played in was different to anything I had experienced before. It was amazing.

“The first time I scored, the reaction from the fans at Portman Road was crazy. I thought ‘wow, this is what it’s about’.

“It was crazy at Carrow Road when I scored as well. I hit the post last year at home as well so it could have been three. I’ll have to go out and get another one  on Sunday - then I can be the ‘Canary killer!’

“Hopefully we can give the fans what they deserve. The support has been fantastic this year. They deserve a win anyway - but they deserve a win in a derby.”

Sunday’s programme also includes features with Jordan Graham, Emyr Huws, Teddy Bishop and Trevoh Chalobah as well as columns from Paul Hurst and Luke Chambers.
