Skuse looking for that first victory of the season

Cole Skuse wants to see Town’s season get up and running with victory at Exeter in tonight’s Carabao Cup tie.

Blues had more than enough chances to have put the game out of sight at Rotherham on Saturday before going down to a last minute goal, on the back of an opening day 2-2 draw with Blackburn.

“It’s a big game for us tonight,” Cole told the Club website.

“We don’t want to go four, five, six weeks into a season, saying that first win will come soon.

“I know it’s not three points up for grabs but we’ve got to look to get that win as soon as we can, not just for the players but for the fans, the gaffer [Paul Hurst], Doigy [Chris Doig] and for the new staff.

“It’s an important game and we will be going there looking to win it and progress in the competition.”

Supporters can follow every kick tonight via the Club’s social media channels or via the iFollow Ipswich subscription service.
