CHAMBO | BELIEF IS THERE

29 December 2018

Skipper confident results will come

Luke Chambers is confident the results will come if the Town side continue to play as they have been.

Blues matched promotion challengers Middlesbrough at the Riverside and but for two excellent saves from Darren Randolph could have taken something from the game.

“The belief is still there that we can get out of it,” the Town skipper told iFollow Ipswich.

“We know if we can carry the plan through that the manager has brought in, the results will come. They have to.

“It’s enjoyable to play in but the results are not enjoyable but I’m convinced that will change.

“No one would have expected us to get anything today against a squad that has cost millions but we dominated the game for periods.

“The referee’s decision for the penalty changed the game. That was frustrating and some of the decisions that have gone against us lately have been baffling.

“Every tiny mistake seems to be punished at the moment but that’s what happens when you are where we are in the table.”
