'Keeper looking to finish 2019 at Portman Road on a positive note
Dean Gerken is hoping Town can take the momentum from last weekend's home win over Wigan into Saturday's clash against Sheffield United - the last match at Portman Road for Paul Lambert's side this calendar year.
Blues' victory against the Latics was their first on home soil this season, and with the Blades visiting Suffolk tomorrow, the Town goalkeeper is looking to build on last week's success.
"The win over Wigan was absolutely massive because the home form was a monkey on our back" Gerks told iFollow Ipswich.
"Not having a victory at Portman Road all season was extra pressure on us so to get that win and clean sheet was great - not just for us but the fans as well.
"They've been patient with us this season and their support has been fantastic, particularly away from home, so it was nice to repay that last week.
"We need to build on that against Sheffield United tomorrow. They're a good side and it will be nice to see Didz (David McGoldrick) but that's something I'll be focusing on after the game."
