Blues midfielder looking to end calendar year on a high

Jon Nolan has emphasised the importance of Town’s festive fixtures starting with Wigan at Portman Road this weekend.

Twelve points are on offer in 2018 as Blues host the Latics and Sheffield United before Christmas and then travel to QPR on Boxing Day and Middlesbrough three days later.

“The games are coming thick and fast and I’ve been playing football long enough to know that that’s always the case around this time of year,” Jon told iFollow Ipswich.

“But the gaffer will make changes to the squad with so many games and the lads that come in will need to be ready because we need everyone pulling together.

“Chambo said to us that if you were eight points adrift of the Play-Offs around Christmas you’d think you have a chance so we need to apply that attitude to our situation.

“That has to start on Saturday. Yes there are a lot of games coming up but it’s a chance to get points on the board and we need them now more than ever.”
