Cheers for Sears as striker stays a Blue until at least 2020
Town have extended Freddie Sears’ contract until the summer of 2020.
The striker’s current deal was up at the end of the season but Blues have taken up the option to keep him for at least another year.
The 29-year-old striker joined Blues in January 2015 and has clocked up more than 160 appearances.
He bagged four goals in November and Paul Lambert is delighted with the contribution of the former West Ham frontman.
“Freddie has been brilliant for us,” the Town boss told the Club website.
“He’s a clever player, the way he understands the game. I perhaps didn’t realise how good a player he is until I have worked with him.
“He’s got great enthusiasm for the game and looks a real threat for us every time he goes forward.”
