U18s in action at Portman Road tonight with boss to watch on

Town kick off this season’s FA Youth Cup campaign at home to Andover Town at Portman Road tonight.

Tickets are £3 each for adults and £1 for juniors/concessions. All Academy partners and sponsors can attend as part of their package. Entry is via the East of England Co-op Stand.

“It’s a great opportunity for the players to play under the lights, play on the main pitch in front of more people than they are used to,” U18 coach Adem Atay told the Club website.

“That presents them with new challenges and will add to the pressure on the boys and we can see how they handle it. It’s a key part of their development.

“It’s also a chance to showcase their talents. The manager [Paul Lambert] will be at the game and it’s an opportunity to impress him.”

The Ipswich Town PLC AGM for shareholders also takes place at the stadium tonight. Any attendees for the AGM who want to watch the start of the game need to purchase a ticket and enter via the turnstiles. They will then be escorted around the pitch to the Sir Bobby Robson Suite for the AGM when requested.
