Praise for Bart but boss disappointed with display

Mick McCarthy conceded it was the worst game at Portman Road this season after watching the goalless draw with Burton.

Town needed a brilliant save from Bart Bialkowski in added on time to keep out a deflected header from Luke Chambers to earn a point.

“It was a tough out there but I didn’t expect anything different,” the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.

“They played well. They sat in second-half and looked to catch us on the break and we didn’t play well. Some of the choices we made on the ball were poor.

“We started the second-half better and Muzzy gave us some impetus  but we didn’t really create a lot and we were indebted to Bart at the end for a terrific save.

“The Poland manager was here to watch him as well so Bart has done himself a power of good today

"It was the worst game of the season here, miles from the attacking displays we showed earlier on but we will have to take the point."
