Mick looking for Town to end derby run and give

Mick McCarthy says he wants derby victory for himself, for the staff, for the players but most importantly for the supporters.

Blues travel to Carrow Road on Sunday looking to end a nine year wait for victory over Norwich and it’s a game the Town boss is relishing.

“It’s a great game to look forward to and be involved in,” Mick told iFollow Ipswich.

“It’s an exciting game. There is an  element of something different happening in derbies. There will be a great atmosphere there and we’re all looking forward to it.

“I’m aware that we have not come out on top in a few years so it would be great to end that on Sunday. It would be great for me, for the staff, for the players but even more so for the supporters.

“They have been long suffering against Norwich so we want to win it for them.”
