Groin injury sees Didz miss the rest of the campaign
Mick McCarthy has confirmed that David McGoldrick will miss the rest of the season.
The striker is set to be sidelined for close on three months after tearing a tendon in his groin during training this week.
“He’s been a big player for us and the injury situation has been very unfortunate for him and the team.
“We have good physios here and we’ll have him up and running as soon as possible.”
The Republic of Ireland international is out of contract at the end of the season and would be free to leave the Club.
“It’s a difficult one when you’re nearing the end of your contract and you’re injured,” said Mick.
“It’s open for both parties so it’s down to Didz and the Club to have a chat and we’ll see what happens.
“He needs to get his injury sorted first and then him and his representatives will see what the situation is.”
