Hip surgery ends campaign for 'keeper

Dean Gerken will miss the rest of the season after having an operation on his hip.

The Town ‘keeper has had a couple of injections recently to try and let the problem settle down but eventually surgery was deemed necessary.

“Gerks has had an arthroscopy for an impingement issue,” Town physio Matt Byard told the Club website.

“We anticipate a recovery period of around four months which obviously means he will miss the rest of the season.”
