Sears targets push for Play-Offs in big weeks ahead

Freddie Sears is hoping last weekend’s win over Sunderland can reignite Town’s push for the Play-Offs.

Blues sit 12th and eight points adrift of the top six with home games against Burton and Cardiff and trips to Norwich and Preston still to come in February.

“It was a great win against Sunderland and hopefully we can get some momentum going now,” the 28-year-old told the Club website.

“We’ve got to go again on Saturday against a Burton side fighting to get away from the bottom of the table.

“It will be another difficult game. Look at Bolton last week, they ‘battered’ Bristol City who are chasing promotion.

“If we can get three points this weekend then it will set us up for the game at Norwich and keep us in the hunt for the Play-Offs.”
