Irish midfielder leaves Town to join Aldershot on a permanent contract

Adam McDonnell has departed Town to join National League side Aldershot Town.

The Irishman spent a large part of the first half of the season on loan at the Shots, and has now signed an 18-month deal with Gary Waddock's side as they look to earn promotion to League Two.

Adam signed for the Blues in 2014 as he joined the Academy from Irish side Shelbourne, and has made two Championship appearances as he started in a 1-0 win at Derby in the final game of the 2015/16 season, and came on as a late substitute in the 2-1 victory over Barnsley at Oakwell earlier this season.

We thank Adam for his efforts in a Town shirt during his time at the Club and wish him well for the future.
