BOSS ON NEW ARRIVALS

18 January 2018

Mick hopeful of new recruits before visit to Bolton

Mick McCarthy says he is hopeful of adding to his squad before the weekend trip to Bolton.

Grant Ward and Adam Webster are still out with groin and ankle injuries respectively, though Cole Skuse is available.

“Skusey rocked his ankle but he trained today and he’s okay for the weekend,” the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.

“We are hopeful of getting in a couple of reinforcements as well.

“We are looking preferably at players who have been playing and have experience of this league. We will see but we are making progress.”

Mick added that Tommy Smith could move on, saying: “Colorado Rapids are keen on him and that is something Tommy is interested in. It’s bubbling along but we need somebody in that can play in that position first.”
