BAG IT, BRING IT AND BOOST IT!

18 January 2018

EACH launches shop donation drive with help from Town's Callum and Dominic

Town’s Callum Connolly and Dominic Iorfa visited the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices’ [EACH] shop in Ipswich today to help launch this year’s Bag It, Bring It, Boost It campaign.

Blues continue to support EACH having added the charity’s logo to the back of the first-team shirts at the start of this season. The Club also helped launch EACH’s Letters from Santa initiative, and over the festive period, players visited The Treehouse.

EACH need plenty of donations to keep its shops across the region – of which there are 27 – stocked and in a position to raise at least £2.5 million between them.

Town players and staff have been busy donating items for EACH to support Bag It, Bring It, Boost It.

Callum said “It’s been great finding out more about EACH, they are a great charity and we’re delighted to contribute to their latest campaign and show our support for them.”

The charity is encouraging individuals, families, community groups, schools and businesses to bag up their unwanted items. Bags can be dropped off at an EACH shop or, if there are a vast number, collected by the charity.

Funds raised from the sale of donated items will help EACH continue providing care for over 360 children and young people with life-threatening conditions, and support more than 450 family members. The charity has three hospices, including The Treehouse in Ipswich, and also takes its specialist service to family homes.

Bag It, Bring It, Boost It was a huge success in 2017, when over 80 companies and colleges got involved to supply in excess of 1,000 bags.

Nicola Emerick, EACH Ipswich Shop Manager, said: “Donations are massively important to our success. We’re particularly keen to receive the following clean and good-quality goods: clothing, bric-a-brac, modern paperbacks, toys, jewellery, DVDs/CDs, household linens, retro and vintage clothes, and small electrical items.”
