Paul sees encouraging signs in win at MK
Paul Hurst said the performance against MK Dons was the best of the pre-season campaign .
Freddie Sears’ penalty gave Blues a third successive 1-0 victory ahead of the last warm up fixture, against West Ham on Saturday.
“The highlight was the pressing, which was very good and forced situations that we need to look to capitalise on moving forward.
“There was more intent out there, a better understanding of the way we want to play. It was the best performance so far and against decent opposition so I’m pleased with quite a bit of what I have seen tonight.
“We controlled the play for long periods. There is still plenty to improve on, in the final third definitely but certainly there were better performances out there individually and most importantly as a team because I’m only interested in the performance as a team.”
