Knudsen makes World Cup bow but Denmark beaten on penalties
Jonas Knudsen made his first appearance in the 2018 World Cup but his Denmark side bowed out on penalties to Croatia.
The Town defender played the 120 minutes of the last 16 clash which ended 1-1 before Croatia came out on top 3-2 in the shoot-out.
Jonas, who was winning his fourth cap, had a hand in Denmark’s first minute goal with his long throw forced in by Martin Jorgensen.
The 25-year-old defender, who became a father during the tournament, will join up with Town for pre-season in a few weeks, along with Bart Bialkowski who was in the Poland squad that were eliminated at the group stage.
