Town sign Trevoh Chalobah on-loan from Chelsea until the end of the season
Paul Hurst has completed his first signing as Town boss as Trevoh Chalobah joins on loan from Chelsea.
The 18-year-old, who can play in either midfield or defence, has signed until the end of the season.
Trevoh has international experience with England U19s, and was part of the squad that won the U19 European Championships last summer along with Town midfielder Andre Dozzell.
He was also an unused substitute in last month's FA Cup Final at Wembley as Chelsea defeated Manchester United 1-0, and Blues boss, Hurst says that the youngster has something to prove while at Portman Road.
"He'll give us a bit of flexibility, positionally," Paul told iFollow Ipswich.
"He's very comfortable on the ball, and he's a very good player.
"He's at an age where people might question him as he's a bit young. There will be demands put on him that he might not have encountered in the past but from speaking to him I know he's hungry to succeed.
"I like players who maybe have a little bit of something to prove and in Trevoh's case, he's got a lot to prove. There's a lot of good publicity around him in terms of potential but he understands, and he wants to go out and deliver."
