Boss on togetherness
Paul Hurst believes a common goal is vital if Town are to succeed under his reign.
The new Blues boss met his squad officially as a group for the first time yesterday, with Town returning for pre-season training following the summer break.
“I consider myself and Chris (Doig) ambitious, but good people. We have a hunger to succeed and I want to prove that at this Football Club,” Paul told iFollow Ipswich.
“We want to succeed and I think if we all have that common goal then we’ll get along really well.
“At the end of the day the players are human beings. Whether they’ve played at a higher or lower standard, that’s irrelevant.
“All I’m interested in is working with good people that want to improve, that are committed to this Football Club and are committed to the job they’re in.
“At the same time I want them to enjoy it. I’d like think in time they’ll like working with myself, Chris and the rest of the staff – but we will push them.”
