Wark, Mills and Butcher feature as Bobby's career shown on big screen at Portman Road
Portman Road will welcome back the memories of Sir Bobby Robson on Friday, May 25.
Ahead of the release of Bobby Robson: More Than A Manager - the definitive film about the life and career of the former Town and England boss, the film will have three exclusive preview screenings - at Newcastle’s St James’ Park on May 22, at Wembley a day later and then at the home of Blues on the 25th.
The event will feature an exclusive Q&A with Town legends Terry Butcher, Mick Mills and John Wark and an appearance from Sir Bobby’s widow, Lady Elsie Robson and son, Mark Robson.
The film has an A-list cast including Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola, Ronaldo, Paul Gascoigne, Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker and has never-before-seen archive footage as well as an emotional testimony from Lady Elsie.
Covering a career that saw some of the greatest moments in footballing history; the hand of God; Gazza’s tears; England’s greatest World Cup abroad; titles in Europe’s top leagues along with glory for Robson at Town at home and in Europe, the heartfelt and personal film is led by the intimate recollections of Sir Bobby himself.
