'You can always gauge it by the crowd and they showed what they thought' says Paul after giving Baggies a scare
Paul Lambert says the performance against West Brom is another sign of the progress Town are making.
Blues pushed the promotion favourites all the way before going down in front of a 23,000 crowd at Portman Road.
“Then first-half, we were a bit tentative and maybe gave West Brom too much respect. They are a good side but Bart didn’t have to make too many saves.
“We were still the game and in the second-half, we were relentless at times. We have a really young side and when you look at West Brom and the Premier League players they have, then we can take a lot from the game.
“It’s another sign of the progress we are making and I told the lads in there, that they can be proud of the performance, every one of them.
“You can always gauge it by the crowd and they showed what they thought.
“I want to say a big thanks to the fans by the way. I asked them to come out and make some noise and get behind the team and boy did they do that. The support was fantastic. The atmosphere they generated was incredible.”
