Boss expecting top atmosphere for Albion clash
Paul Lambert said he has ‘no doubt’ Portman Road will be rocking when Town face West Brom on Friday evening.
A crowd of more than 20,000 is expected for the visit of the Baggies, and the Blues boss believes the supporters have a vital part to play in the hunt for a first home win of the season.
“We certainly need the fans and we need an atmosphere that gets everybody going,” Paul told iFollow Ipswich.
“Obviously I played in Germany and I’ve seen what it’s like there. We have the North Stand at Portman Road which can be incredibly vocal when it kicks in and we have to try and get it like that for every game.
“Supporters come and pay their hard earned money to watch us and I want them to have a really good time in the stadium.
“And I have no doubt Portman Road will be rocking on Friday night. We’ll be doing everything we can to win, but we need the supporters.”
