Chambo on young Blue
Town captain Luke Chambers praised Jack Lankester after the young forward chalked up a third Championship appearance in Blues' 2-1 defeat to West Brom on Friday night.
Jack was heavily involved during his 13-minute display at Portman Road, and almost salvaged a point for Paul Lambert's side with a free-kick that struck the post in the dying stages.
And Chambo emphasised that the Academy graduate more than deserves his chance with the senior side, telling iFollow Ipswich: "I think Jack did really well when he came on but that’s not a shock because he’s been great in training.
“He’s someone that has the quality to change and win games for us so it would have been really nice if his free-kick nestled in the far corner right at the end.
“Unfortunately it wasn’t to be but I’m glad he got another opportunity and you can tell already that the fans have taken to him.”
