"More than confident we can get out of this situation" says Blues midfielder

Cole Skuse has reiterated the fact that belief and confidence in the Town camp remains high as Paul Lambert's side aim to avoid a relegation scrap this term.

Blues sit bottom of the Championship table but put in a promising performance in the 1-1 draw against Preston last weekend and will be looking to kick on away at Reading on Saturday.

“As much as the morale is still high we’re not shying away from the fact that we’re bottom of the league and five points adrift of the team above us,” Cole said.

“Everyone knows this a serious situation because relegation isn’t something you ever want to go through in your career - it’s a horrible, horrible feeling.

“But we’re lucky in the sense that there are a lot of games to play. We believe that we have a good squad and management setup and we're more than confident we can get out of the situation we're in.

“When you’re bottom of the league every point is huge so we have to be brave, mentally tough and show that confidence.

“That has to be the case this weekend. It’s a very big game because Reading are in and around us and they’ll also be looking to get away from the bottom of the table”.
