Promising performance but two points dropped says Jordan

Jordan Spence believes Town's performance in the 2-2 draw away to Reading was another step in the right direction but viewed the result as two points dropped for Blues.

Paul Lambert's side were 2-1 up after a hectic first 11 minutes at the Madejski Stadium, but Yakou Meite's header for the Royals six minutes from time meant the spoils were shared.

"Similarly to last week I think we played well but it's another game where the win has slipped through our fingers," the defender said.

"It's a point away from home but right now it feels more like a defeat because of the late goal.

"But we've come a long way in a short space of time so we need to recognise that. I think we showed from the first whistle today that we were set up to win the game.

"We didn't get it so we need to dust ourselves off and go again after the international break. We have two weeks now to look at what we can do better and build on what we're already doing well."
