Paul: 'We can’t keep giving ourselves situations to retrieve'
Paul Hurst said Town have to find a way to cut out individual mistakes after Middlesbrough struck twice early on to take the points at Portman Road.
Goals from Mo Besic and Stewart Downing inside the first 15 minutes gave Tony Pulis’ promotion favourites a 2-0 win.
“They had a bit of fortune with the first goal. I think we could have done better though and then I’m not sure what has happened with the second and from there it was always going to be hard against a team that doesn’t concede many goals.
“The second-half we were much better. Half of football is not good enough though and those 15 minutes at the start has cost us.
“When we spoke to the players at half-time, we demanded that they didn’t go under and to their credit they didn’t.
“We have to put a performance together for the full 90 minutes and somehow we have to cut out individual mistakes because they are costing us at the moment.”
