'They were better in both boxes but we have to fight and stick together' says Klug
Bryan Klug said Millwall were better at both ends of the pitch after watching Town go down at the Den.
Two goals from Lee Gregory - both from set-pieces - and a third from Ryan Leonard gave the Lions a 3-0 win, with Town’s new boss, Paul Lambert, watching on from the stands.
“We expected a tough game and we certainly got that,” Bryan told iFollow Ipswich.
“We conceded two goals from set-pieces and that’s been a problem all season I understand and they came at vital times as well.
“Between the boxes, I don’t think there was much in it but it’s in both boxes that games are won and lost and they were better than us in those areas.
“We should have done better at dealing with balls into the box and they had the quality to take advantage of that.
“Confidence is lacking. You can see that. It’s only natural but we have to stick together and fight and I’m sure the new manager will be looking for that.”
Bryan also paid tribute to the travelling Blue Army, adding: “The supporters were fantastic. They stayed with the team and I hope they saw that there was no lack of effort. I’m just sorry we didn’t give them anything to celebrate today.”
