Midfielder says changing times didn't affect focus at Den

Flynn Downes says the uncertainty at Town leading up to the weekend visit to Millwall wouldn’t have affected the team’s performance.

Bryan Klug took charge of the side following Paul Hurst’s departure on Thursday, while Paul Lambert was in the stands at the Den to watch Town go down 3-0 having been confirmed as the new manager hours before kick-off.

“There has been a lot going on but I don’t think that’s an excuse for what we do on the pitch,” Flynn told iFollow Ipswich.

“I think the boys always give 100 per cent. Things are just going against us at the moment. Hopefully, we can look forward to the next game and look to get three points.

“Everyone is going to want to impress the new manager and put a good impression across and take it into next week.”
