Freddie on Boro defeat
Freddie Sears admitted that Town were 'beaten by a better side' as Middlesbrough ran out 2-0 winners at Portman Road.
Boro, who have conceded just four goals in the Championshiop this term, netted twice in the opening 16 minutes before standing resolute against some second-half pressure from Blues.
"I think we were beaten by a better side at the end of the day," Freddie told iFollow Ipswich.
"Against a team like that it was always going to be a tough night let alone when they're 2-0 up inside 20 minutes - that start killed us really.
"We played a little bit better in the second half but by then the task is that much tougher - we need to try and be consistent for a full 90 minutes.
"Swansea at the weekend will be another difficult game but we need to go there and try and put some more points on the board - it would be a huge confidence boost if we could get a win before the international break."
