“I knew about the Club before, even when I was growing up as a kid, I knew what a great team they had back then"
Paul Lambert says he will be giving it everything to bring the good times back to Portman Road.
The former Borussia Dortmund and Celtic midfielder took training this morning after officially being unveiled as the new Town boss at a press conference at the Club’s training ground.
Paul takes Blues into Saturday’s game against Preston with Town sitting bottom of the Championship.
“When you look at the Club, you look at the infrastructure. I met the owner and got on with him very well straight away,” Paul told iFollow Ipswich.
“I knew about the Club before, even when I was growing up as a kid, I knew what a great team they had back then.
“Obviously being at Norwich before, I knew about the rivalry and I know what a really good football club this is.
“It’s just lost its way a little bit but we’re here to help it and I’ll be giving it everything I’ve got to help the Club become successful.
“I’m really looking forward to it. It’s going to be exciting and I want it to be fun.”
