Illness could sideline skipper for Rangers visit

Paul Hurst revealed that Luke Chambers is a doubt for Town's clash with QPR due to illness.

The Blues skipper is suffering with a bug that has been spreading through the Club, and could miss this weekend's game at Portman Road as Town look for back-to-back wins.

"There has been some illness in camp that has been spreading around quite rapidly," Paul told iFollow Ipswich.

"But I'm hoping that everyone will be good and ready to go for the game.

"The skipper is one who has had the bug. Fingers crossed he'll be okay for the game but it's something we'll have to monitor.

"Illness can spring up at any time so we'll be cautious of that right up until kick-off on Saturday."

Paul also mentioned that midfielder Tom Adeyemi, who has been sidelined since pre-season due to injury, will undergo an operation on his achilles.
