PENNINGTON | NOT GOOD ENOUGH

20 October 2018

Matt on Rangers defeat

Matt Pennington admitted that Town's display against QPR was not good enough and that they deserved nothing from the game.

Blues mustered just one shot on target at Portman Road, with two first-half strikes enough to see Rangers to all three points.

"It's very disappointing because we were hoping to get a little run going after a good win at Swansea," the defender told iFollow Ipswich.

"We weren't good enough and we didn't do nearly enough to win the game. QPR capitalised on that.

"The fans have turned out today and you can understand why they're frustrated.

"But we want to put things right. We have another tough match at Leeds on Wednesday so we need to go there with a plan and try to get something from the game.
