Better team but should have seen game out says Gwion

Goal scorer Gwion Edwards believes Town were the better team as Blues drew 1-1 with Norwich at Portman Road.

The Welsh winger fired the hosts in front 12 minutes into the second-half, but Moritz Leitner’s strike in the 71st minute meant the spoils were shared.

“I think we were unlucky again to be honest,” Gwion told iFollow Ipswich.

“We were the better team in the second half but we’ve paid the price and conceded a goal when we should have cleared our lines.

“Letting them back into it was frustrating but even after that we had chances – it just wouldn’t quite drop for us.

“It was an incredible atmosphere and a great feeling to score in the derby, but ultimately I’m just disappointed that we didn’t hold on for the win.”
