Much better after the break says goalscorer Kayden
Kayden Jackson said Town's second-half display against Brentford gave them "something to build on" ahead of Saturday's clash at home to Bolton Wanderers.
Blues went into half-time behind at Portman Road, but Jackson secured a point for Paul Hurst's side with a superb header in the 73rd minute - his first goal in the Championship.
"I think we concentrated too much on trying to stop them in the first half whereas in the second we pressed and got on the front foot," the summer arrival from Accrington Stanley told iFollow Ipswich.
"We reminded them that they weren't coming here for an easy ride and that's when we stamped a bit of authority on the game and got a deserved goal.
"Obviously I'm delighted to be off the mark in the Championship and I'm pleased that it helped the team - hopefully the next one I score will be a winner!
"Overall, though, it's a performance to build on so hopefully we take that into Saturday and get our first three points of the season."
