Paul calls on Town to be brave as winless run continues
Paul Hurst accepts it’s a test of character for him and his players after Town went down to defeat at Hull.
Goals from Jarrod Bowen and Jackson Irvine gave the Tigers a 2-0 win, leaving Blues without a victory under the new boss.
“Mistakes happen but the early goal gave them a lift. They have been under pressure and so you don’t want to give them that lift but we did and that made it harder obviously,” the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.
“It took us half an hour to really get into the game but we had a good spell before half-time and then again early in the second half.
“People can talk about we need to score and I agree 100 per cent but we are giving away too many goals and that is making it extremely difficult.
“It’s a test of character for all of us now. I’m fully aware of that. None more so than for myself.
“We have to be brave. Hiding away from situations is not going to help, we have to go out there and perform in the way I know we are capable of.”
