Boss on loss of Jon
Paul Hurst described the loss of Jon Walters as a huge disappointment after an achilles injury forced the forward into an early return to his parent club Burnley.
Yesterday it was revealed that the Republic of Ireland international had a partial rupture to his achilles, and while no surgery is needed, it's likely he'll be out of action for around six months.
"Obviously it's a blow to us but on a personal level I'm just really disappointed for Jon," the Blues boss told iFollow Ipswich.
"He worked hard to come back from an injury at the start of the year and he is clearly still someone that loves his football.
"It was a measured decision to bring him on against Bolton so it's very unfortunate that things turned out how they did.
"But from our point of view we've just got to get on with things. It's another bump in the road but we can't afford to dwell on it - I just wish Jon a full recovery."
