Toto takes part in Daily Mile on National Fitness Day
Town defender, Toto Nsiala, spent his afternoon visiting pupils at St. Margaret’s Primary who were taking part in The Daily Mile on National Fitness Day.
The initiative is part of East Anglian Go Kids – a campaign Blues have set up with Suffolk-based organisations including Vertas.
Toto dropped by to mark National Fitness Day, which saw the summer signing join in with pupils who were completing their Daily Mile.
The Daily Mile is a profoundly simple, but effective concept through which primary-aged children run or jog for 15 minutes every day. Any primary school can implement The Daily Mile at no cost, and its impact can be transformational – improving not only the fitness of children, but also their concentration levels, mood, behaviour and general wellbeing.
One of the key parts of East Anglian Go Kids is encouraging healthy eating in schools and Toto sat with pupils and staff from St Margaret’s to enjoy a healthy meal provided by Vertas Eats.
Toto spoke to the Club website after completing The Daily Mile: “I had a great time today, it was really good to be involved in the Club’s initiative and I would encourage schools to sign up to The Daily Mile as the transformation can be extremely beneficial,” he said.
