Boss gives update ahead of trip to Deepdale
Paul Lambert has given an update on the fitness of Jon Nolan, Will Keane and James Collins ahead of Town's trip to Preston on Friday.
Blues take on the Lilywhites at Deepdale before facing a quick turnaround for the visit of Swansea to Portman Road on Easter Monday.
"Jon trained this morning for the first time in a while," Paul said.
"That's good because he has done well for us. He's okay but we will need to assess him tomorrow.
"Will has also trained for the last few days so again we will need to see how he is. Whether he's fit enough to start I don't know just yet.
"James might struggle for Friday. I thought he did really well against Birmingham at the weekend but it was frustrating for him being involved then having to come off."
The Blues boss also added that striker Ellis Harrison is making progress on a back injury and spoke about the return of midfielder Tom Adeyemi for the U23s on Monday night.
"Ellis is getting there," he said.
"His back has caused him some grief and Preston will be too early for him. I'm not sure just yet if he could be involved against Swansea or Sheffield United next week.
"Tom came through his first game in a long time and that was good to see. Obviously there is no rush with him given that he has been out so long.
"There are one or two knocks from the weekend but we'll have a better idea tomorrow."
