Blues midfielder praises travelling support but admits it was a tough evening
Teddy Bishop described Town's 2-0 defeat against Brentford as a "very difficult night."
Neal Maupay and Ollie Watkins struck for the hosts in the opening half an hour as the Bees ran out comfortable winners at Griffin Park, despite a more encouraging second-half display from Blues.
"It was a very difficult night because they moved the ball quickly and were very dangerous, particularly in the first half," Teddy told iFollow Ipswich.
"Obviously we had a good chance at 0-0 but Collin (Quaner) was unlucky to hit the post, soon after they're ahead then Flynn (Downes) slipped and they made it two.
"It's tough for Flynn but he is a very strong character. It could have happened to anyone and he had a good second half and didn't let his head drop.
"We all improved in the second half but I think the game had gone by half-time unfortunately.
"The fans were absolutely fantastic, though. We're bottom of the league and they filled out the away end and sang all night - that's incredible from them."
