Wanderers granted safety certificate with 1300 travelling fans to back Blues
Town’s match against Bolton this weekend will go ahead after Wanderers were granted a stadium safety certificate.
The match was in doubt when the Safety Advisory Group withdrew the certificate on Tuesday after Bolton said they weren’t in a position to meet the obligations of the safety certificate until their appearance in the High Court yesterday.
That court appearance related to an unpaid tax bill of £1.2m and other debts but a decision was adjourned until May 8 to give Bolton more time to secure a takeover.
That led to a further meeting between SAG and the club yesterday afternoon which gave the green light for the game to go ahead.
Town will be backed by a travelling support of 1300 at the University of Bolton Stadium, with tickets for Saturday's match priced at just £5.
