BOSS | JUDGE DEAL GETTING CLOSER

4 April 2019

"If that happens and he signs that is another great thing for the Club"

Paul Lambert said Town are getting closer to agreeing a deal with Alan Judge.

The Republic of Ireland international, who has made a big impact at the Club since joining from Brentford in January, is on a short term contract until the end of the season, with options on both sides beyond that.

“Marcus [Evans, Club owner] and Judgey’s people are talking and I don’t think we are too far away from Judgey signing,” the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.

“The supporters have taken to him and you can see the quality he has. If that happens and he signs that is another great thing for the Club. That will be huge for us.

“The Club has a nucleus of good young players coming through but there needs to be that balance as well.”
