Winger hoping to be involved against former side this weekend

Gwion Edwards praised his former club Peterborough United ahead of a return to Weston Homes Stadium with Town this weekend.

The Welsh winger spent two seasons with Posh before joining Blues last summer, and is hoping to be involved for Paul Lambert's side tomorrow afternoon having made his first appearance of the season against Luton on Tuesday.

"I'm always desperate to be involved but it would be particularly nice to play against my old team and see some familiar faces," the 26-year-old said.

"I enjoyed my time there and have good memories. They're a club that looks to push and do well in the league and it was the same when I was there.

"Unfortunately we narrowly missed out on two occasions but I think they'll be up there again this season.

"I know they've had a difficult start to the campaign but I do think it will be a really tough game for us tomorrow."

"But we've got plenty of fans travelling and it should be a cracking atmosphere. We'll be right up for it and I'm looking forward to it."
