Boss on injury situation ahead of Burton trip
Paul Lambert has given an injury update ahead of Town's first game of the season against Burton Albion tomorrow.
Blues head to the Pirelli Stadium looking to start the campaign on a high, but will be without Gwion Edwards (groin), Jon Nolan (calf), Toto Nsiala (hamstring) and others for the clash with the Brewers.
"It's the same as what it has been for the last week or so," Paul told iFollow Ipswich.
"Jon and Gwion don't have any chance of making Burton, that's for sure.
"They've been out for months but unfortunately they're still not ready. Their injuries are from last season which is the case with a lot of the guys who are out at the moment.
"Toto's is a muscle injury so we need to look after him before getting him back.
"It's part of the game so you've got to go with what you think is the best team from the lads you've got available. That's exactly what we'll do."
Blues are also without Teddy Bishop (knee), Tristan Nydam (broken ankle), Jack Lankester (back).
