Club's new community arm closing in on official launch
The Club are moving forward with the launch of the Ipswich Town Community Trust.
A team of staff is being put in place at Portman Road that will oversee the work of the Trust, with the emphasis on delivering a range of initiatives into the local community, particularly schools.
Former Town skippers Matt Holland and Carlos Edwards and current captain, Luke Chambers, have all expressed an interest in getting involved with the Trust going forward.
“We already have a very good relationship with local charities and organisations but under the Ipswich Town Community Trust it enables us to enhance our role in the community, particularly in schools,” Town’s general manager of football operations, Lee O’Neill, told the Club website.
Those that are interested in working as coaches in the Trust’s programme, either part-time or on a full-time basis, should send their CV to community@itfc.co.uk.
