Will and Nolan could feature for U23s against Leeds on Friday

Jon Nolan and Will Keane are both in line to play for Town’s U23s against Leeds at Playford Road on Friday.

Midfielder Jon stepped up his return from a calf injury with a 45 minute display in Blues’ defeat against Hull’s U23s last week and is closing in on being available for the first-team.

Will, who signed for Town on a year’s contract on Tuesday after spending the second half of last season on loan at Portman Road, is continuing his recovery after having surgery following a hamstring injury.

“I had surgery and have had three months of rehab and I feel good,” Will told the Club website.

“There have been no issues. I feel strong and I have done a good block of training. I’ve not played in any games so far but that will be the next step, to get some game time and build that up.”

Kick-off against Leeds is 1pm.

Meanwhile Town have been drawn away to Needham Market in the first round of the Suffolk Premier Cup.
