“Anthony did great when he came on. He gave us a spark and livened the stadium up"
Paul Lambert says he was delighted with the impact Anthony Georgiou made on his debut for Town and he also welcomed Will Keane back to the Club.
Anthony was a half-time substitute in the win over AFC Wimbledon tonight after joining on loan from Tottenham while Will signed a year’s contract earlier in the day as a free agent.
“Anthony did great when he came on. He gave us a spark,” the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.
“We thank Tottenham for letting him come here. He only trained with us yesterday and probably doesn’t know the names of the players yet but he livened the stadium up. I’m delighted with him.
“I’m delighted to have Will back here as well. He likes the club. He’s a top striker when he’s fit and hopefully he’s not too far away.
“With Kane [Vincent-Young] coming in as well and players coming back from injury, we are in a better place than we were before the Burton game.”
