'KEEPER SPOT UP FOR GRABS

2 August 2019

Paul on Bart departure and having good competition for number one position

Town’s number one spot is up for grabs says Paul Lambert.

Blues added Will Norris to the squad this week, the 25-year-old ‘keeper arriving on a year’s loan from Wolves to replace Bart Bialkowski, who has joined Millwall on loan until the end of the season.

With Tomas Holy joining the Club from Gillingham in the summer, Town have a new-look ‘keeper combination for the campaign ahead.

“Bart needed to go. He needed a change,” Paul told iFollow Ipswich.

“He has been here a long time and with relegation as well, it was right for him to go.

“Will has come in and he’s a really good ‘keeper. I have seen him play a  few times and he will fight for his place with Tomas. That’s what we need.”
